Luke 23:44-49; Mark 15:33-39; Matthew 27:51-54 The Roman Centurion at the crucifixion may have not completely understood the meaning of his utterance, however it was true - and in contrast to the heirs of the covenant who jeered at Jesus on the cross.

Luke 8:26-39; Matthew 8:28-34; Mark 5:1-20; Jesus is able to deliver us from whatever pit we find ourselves. And when He does deliver us, we have the responsibility and privilege to tell others what the Lord has done for us.

While it is a good thing to serve, it is not good that we serve and lose our focus on Jesus. The Lord would prefer that we come and sit at His feet. The Lord places a greater value on your fellowship than on your service.

Today we start a new series entitled, "The Outsiders." In Scripture, we meet many individuals who we might not give another thought to. What makes a person an Outsider? Were we once outsiders? Zacchaeus was one of those 'outsiders.'

In the Book of Malachi, the last book in our series on finding Jesus in the Old Testament, we learn that judgment is not a written exam. It is and always has been about our hearts.

The Book of Zechariah - A contemporary of Haggai, the prophet Zechariah is tasked by God to call those returning from exile to rebuild, not just the temple, but their relationship with God. In chapter 3, Zechariah describes the vision of Joshua, the High Priest, standing unworthily in the presence of God with Satan there to accuse him. It is God who takes away Joshua's unclean garments and gives the him new garments of righteousness. This is what Jesus accomplishes for us. By His atonement and resurrection, Jesus provides a way for us, as sinful people, to stand in the presence of a Holy God.
